My recently purchased A3 1.6 :]
hello, anybody know this audi? I need know wheels and tyre size. Thanks
Think those are 18" BBS LM's at a guess 8.5" and 9" wide.
It's Ste Lockley's S3, 19" and 9J all the way round i think. Not sure on tyre size but i assume it'll be 215 35 19 as he's running air
Jardo cleaned it for me, what a boy!
Our collection of cool cars from the weekend...
Dude, I FULLY cleaned 6 cars this weekend. What sort of sad act does that for fun?
Prawns 18" s4 reps look better than yours but at the end of the day both sets are reps
Yeah, but his are curbed to buggery now lol!
I tell you what though in my defense, you try and find another set of 17" S4 reps!
Anyway, I'm going to be rolling in a proper monster in the next week or so. The missus' can have her 220bhp back
Hardly curbed to buggery dude! They have a few stone chips, and one curb type mark that appeared when you last borrowed the car!
Considering they're almost 4 years, and 100k old, I'd say they're pretty damn mint!
Yes they are Prawn.

hey guys anybody know what merc these wheels came off?
hey guys, does nebody know off which merc these wheels come off? would appreciate feedback!
Those Merc rims work well :icon_thumright:
Thats a great look
A 90's Merc SL500?
This pic is going to be the most whored out pic on ASN by the end of the week, car looks good though mate, shame that it's got no fogs...
I don't know what merc wheels they are, could even be reps but they aren't the same as the ones on that a3 as the width of the holes (centre of wheel to rim) is a lot thinner on the ones on the merc. Mercedes do have a huge variation of that same design of wheel however, just different sizes, minor spoke variations etc lol I'll see if I can dig up what they are exactly. Can someone give me the image code ab I'll go research it on E38 and wheel ehores lol got me wondering too now!
Hey guys, just a few quick shots of my car after finally getting the Raceland coilovers installed. They seemed have have settled in quite nicely as well
New to the forum so thought I'd add mine to the collection. It's totally standard and nowhere near as nice as some of the beauties I've seen on here, but it's my daily steer and I love it!
Picked it up in Jan '11 after treating myself to celebrate my first year of driving (accomplished is a shagged out 1.4 litre Astra), the fact insurance was cheap enough (one year driving, one year NCB and qualifying for over 25s discount, which you don't get if you have less than one year driving) and because I've always wanted a fun car to drive. I've always been a car nut but only got round to doing my test at 25 for reasons I can't fathom now. I only have these pics I took after the first test drive, when I next have it detailed I'll get some better pics sorted.
I've had a few issues with it in the 8 months I've had it (fan belt went 10 days after I picked it up, the cam belt was done just before I got it but the garage apparently didn't do the fanbelt at the same time), the battery went flat not long after and wouldn't hold charge (replaced and it's been fine since) and a coil pack went in July. I've mentioned the wing mirror issue I'm having at the mo in another thread, as well as the suspected auto level xenon issue, but I still love it. Even driving to work is not such a hardship now because I enjoy driving it, even on mundane drives, so much!
I really like the forum, especially the metal on show in the A3 section, and hope you don't mind having me around
i think they look sick n bit off the usual 'beat'..i love oem but sometimes u got to take chance! & id hav the wheels worked to fit 5x100 pattern!
Just need some spacers then that would look piiiiiimp!
Thanks buddy! and Lol, the vans my brothers, he used that as his tent for VW Festival lol!
and i considered blacking out my grill surround, but think it ties in well with the wheels and wing mirrors....

My 1997 a3 T sport.
i bought the car in august 2010 just after id turned 20 was absolutely buzzing my little moobs of when i got it, cost me 2 K with 91K on the clock needed two tyres and a good polish that's about all that was wrong with it until the clutch went in December.
so what iv done to it so far is:
ECS stage one clutch and fly wheel (single mass)
Silicone breather pipes
Milltek cat back
Longlife custom downpipe and sports cat
Jetex cone filter
Forge 007p (awesome gti version blatantly just because it says awesome on it)
dimpled and grooved discs and mintex pads
as you can probably tell im the worst person made to use a camera
Those merc rims will be 5x112, have been fitted using pcd adapters! Also the offset is high so the spacer/adapters are a must lol
Think they are commonly known as monoblocks but are sl500 rims I think but could be wrong lol
Hope this helps
