Having read through various posts on power drops on the S3, I have decided that my problems could be related to a sticky or unseated wastegate valve.
Could anyone post a description or pictures of where the wastegate valve is located and how to re-seat it. TIA

You will not be able to reseat it as such, if it's cracked or pitted it's new turbo time.

The wastegate probem lies with the actuator, the springs become weak and let the gate open under boost (boost and exhaust manifold pressure go hand in hand).

Like the below, not the big crack but the one up near the valve. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hi
I think you will find that the spring can`t be replaced as its a sealed pressed unit.
When these parts fail ie spring or arm bends or snaps The dealer has to replace the whole turbo
As they dont have the ability to set the car up.
I fitted the Forge unit and seems to hold boost very well it was just a pain to fit.
