It seems now the temperatures have dropped (either that or the wetter weather is doing it) my car doesnt turn over as quick as it has been doing on the warmer days

It hasnt failed to start yet but it used to turn over first time now it has to turn 3 or 4 times before it actually starts up.

Any common cause of this issue ?

Thanks
James

New battery would be my guess if it's turning over slower.
A slower turnover will mean it takes longer to start, cold weather will show up a battery on its way out.

"my car doesnt turn over as quick"
Sorry thought you meant your car doesn't turn over as quick!

heh heh sorry bud.

Yup, I've noticed my S3 requires an extra second or two of cranking time in the cold, ad I've got a new battery in mine, so sounds normal to me. :)

Ok thats good to know.

Although I do lots of short journeys in my car, I took it out for a 40 mile round trip the other day and not had a re-occurance of the problem since.
