Poor reception since changing head unit.

I have a 2004 a6 C5 allroad with Bose, I changed to a app radio and now have no FM radio reception .

Is there an amp lead for the aerial , I got the one for the sound amp and it's working fine .

Any help would be appreciated .

Also when I got the car the aerial top had been screwed off, I got a replacement off eBay would that have any influence .

It is worth getting the correct aerial top from Audi for start. When you fitted the radio did you use a VAG style ohantom fed antenna amplifier/booster. If you didnt there is your problem. You will need one of these;
