I had the top mounts and top caps fitted to my S3. The top caps do fit but they are very flimsy so they can't be tightened up much. The mounts also creaked badly so I went back to the standard top mounts .

There was another chap who ran Polo6N top caps to lower the front end more, but reverted back to standard items, as they was too harsh.

Yes the above is the only reason I've heard the mk4/bora lads run the 6n top mounts, and that's too go lower. Seems a little pointless for 10mm but what ever floats your boat. ;)

Thanks guys. Currently running eibach springs and looked at the Apex springs as an option but decided not too due to money. I tried to get the FK 10mm top plates but couldn't get hold of them and FK are no longer producing them, damn coilovers market.

For 10mm additional drop at £25 (mounts + top caps) in almost new condition, I cannot complain yet.

I was concerned that the 6n top caps looked a little small but if other guys are running them, its not a major concern.

    Thanks for answering my query!

All sorted, I found some 2 mm washers to space the caps, as they seem very very close to the struts tops, issue resolved for now. In terms of harshness they seem ok.

I really could do with lowering the rears now humm.....

If you want to lower just buy some red dot springs made for TT quattro s-line suspension

Cheers matty, just looking at your thread, would it not make more sense just to buy Apex springs from fleebay at that cost in the 3 or 4 post when you mention eurocarparts links?

I have been wondering what length the springs by Apex, Eibach & similar actually are. From what i read you will need adjustable rear tie bars however these were never fitted to Sline TT's or S3's with RSTT rims so any help from others would be handy
