I am able to offer a group buy on the PODI boost gauges.

I am a UK retailer for PODI and thought it would be a good idea to offer you guys these great gauges at a reduced price.

A quick rundown of the gauge -

    2 1/16" (52mm) boost gauge (-30inHg/30psi)
100% electronic stepper motor based gauge
Multiple LEDs used for backlighting (16 for dial, 4 for needle)
Red/white needle with selectable red/white color backlighting
    User adjustable brightness
    User programmable overboost warning alarm
    Peak boost value recall
    Anti-glare coated glass lens

    Accessories:Infrared remote control
    Electronic boost pressure sender
    Wiring harness
    Vacuum tubing and t-fitting
    Extra matte black bezel
    Podi gauge wiring kit

A few example pictures of the various colours that the gauge comes in.

A picture of my PODI gauge (sorry for the poor image, needle is actually red)

    Uk price £133 + £10 P&P

Group buy price - 5 or less get a 5% discount on the £133 which would bring the cost to £126.35 + £10 P&P
Group buy price - 6 or more get a 10% discount on the £133 which would bring the cost to £119.70 + £10 P&P

Just thought i would explain how this group buy will work so no one has any worries about anything.

The first 5 who pay the 5% discounted price will get their gauges straight away and once the 6th person pays (10% discounted price) then the first 5 who paid the (5% discounted price) will receive 5% back from me so that they then get the full 10% discount price. I felt that was the easiest way to do things plus it saves the guys who pay first waiting until the end of the group buy or for the 6th person to pay before getting their gauges. I hope everyone is OK with this.

You can pm me, email - wotmotorsport@hotmail.co.uk or check out facebook - WOTMOTORSPORT

Feel free to mention this elsewhere if you wish.

Thanks for your time & i look forward to your interest and running this group buy.

I've seen this gauge fitted and working on HEKTORS RS4 beast and its looks very impressive as its moulded and fits nicely around the top steering wheel cowling. No real need for it on my S3 buddy but will ask around.

Will this boost gauge work on a TDI? I guess it would sit at 0 and go up rather than show -ve pressure?

If it will fit, can I also get the steering column cover for a B7 A4?

    Cheers

    Not sure what you mean.

The group buy is for the gauge only. The air vent can be modded to accept the gauge, i have done this previously on the b5, but i prefer the PODI steering column pods.

Thanks mark, the gauges are very impressive and the quality is 2nd to none.

On turbo cars its always good to keep an eye on boost to make sure your car is making its requested boost so you can easily tell if their is a leak which if left unchecked will shorten the life expectancy of the turbo. Plus they look great :)

Yes the PODI gauge will work on a TDI. The fitting is slightly different and it will require a boost tape which i can supply at extra cost, you can source easily enough.

I have not fitted one of these in a TDI before, but i would think that the TDI will sit at 0 on idle and then positive boost (PSI), were on the petrol engine it will show vacume pressure on idle then go up from there. There are a few videos on youtube that show a boost gauge working on a TDI engine.

This group buy is for the gauge only. I can supply you with the b7 pod out with the group buy if you like? They are in stock so can be sent next day delivery. Drop me a pm or email - wotmotorsport@hotmail.co.uk and i will give you an all inclusive price for the pod.

    Thanks

I love these gauges but I'm afraid even at a discounted price it's still out of my budget. :(

I understand completely westy. The PODI gauges & pods are marketed as a high quality item and the time & effort thats gone into them is phenomenal plus being patented.

All of the above along with being perfect for the VAG range made me not only buy a gauge & pod for my rs4 but keep on at them to be a UK retailer and thankfully they agreed, so now i get to work with them as a company & their products plus my customers have been delighted with all their products.

It would be good to have you on board, but i understand everyones circumstances are different.

You should extend it to include the mechanical guage, they're about half the price, and thus far more affordable!

IIRC mine was $115 delivered direct from Podi, including the B5 column shroud, so ~£75.

The group buy wont be including the mechanical gauges. If the demand is there after this current group buy then i am sure i can arrange another group buy.

Thats a little to cheap for the gauge + pod including shipping. Current prices would bring it to $149 if not slightly more as PODI have increased their shipping rate.

    No worries Maz.

I have to agree, for me these are the best gauges on the market, once fitted in either the pod or vent they really do come into their own!

Do you have the pod to fit an S3 and what's the cost ?

How easy is it to fit ? Is it plug and play or do I need to run into the bay ?

The mk4 pod should fit the 8l s3 and the mk5 pod should fit the 8P. The costs will be £60 + £10 UK p&p

The pods are very easy to fit as they are direct replacement for the steering column cover and are held by 2 screws. The gauges are easy to install and wire up aswell. The gauges will include instructions and i will also add a link on to the receipt so you can view detailed instructions on where to tap for boost and which wires to use for power etc. When i installed mine it took around an hour.

    No problem.

I dont have any of a pod in an 8P. I have been told by PODI that they do fit. I can order one in and test fit it or once the gauge group buy is finished i can do a group buy on the pods (if the mods are ok with it) if the interest is there. Its just what suits you guys.

    Hi,

PODI and myself do not offer a vent mount. I can offer you the steering column pod if you like. I am waiting on more stock coming in so i can test fit the mk5/6 golf pods on the 8P to see if they fit. Once i know for sure then i will be marketing them. The gauge will come with almost everything needed for you to install. I will pm you a link which will show you where to tap for boost and it also shows you the small boost tap that you need.
