Please help

I bought a 2003 Audi A4 b6 Avant sport it had a dented back passenger's side door so I went and bought a replacement fitted it and since then the central locking is not working I have tried all sorts fuses read it for codes bout a new locking unit but still nothing all connections on the door look good only difrent thing is that the new door hasn't got the power output for the light in the side of the door card

Try the locking mechanism from the original door on the replacement door. I’ve seen posts mention coding locks.

I thought about that a bit too late the door had already been taken to the dump so I bought a new lock do you know anyone in the Bedford area with vcds that could check if it needs coding or if there is a way to rest the control unit ?
