Perforated Gearknob (S-line)

Guys does anyone of ya got a part number for a Perforated Gearknob (6 speed manual) that is used in the S-Line editions?

There are a few in eBay but all say they would only fit 8L Audis.

I dont need red/white stitching just the stock S-line gearknob
How much would it also cost?

I bought a 8L knob from eBay,. Simply undo the staples round teh base and then attach to your current base from the 8P. Its the easiest mod EVER! I'm sure loads here have done it.

Hmm i contacted one seller and he told me that the 8L gearknob wouldn`t fit.

So i should keep my current base and just use the new "head"

Is it easy to separate those two?

The gearknob comes with new leather & base.

Now it says its for a 1st gen A3 but it does fit an 8p no probs. If you look as the base you will see it is stapled on with about 3 large staples. You just prize these open & remove the frame at the bottom & replace with the original plastic frame off you existing one. It is literaly a 3 minute job.

This seems to make sense given I know about the staples & they do look the same so cant see why it wont fit mate.
