What do you think about this simple fix instead of spending money on a block of PCV plate?

I have actually been thinking about doing it before finding this link and seeing that someone actually has done it. But naturally i would like to ensure the mod will work the same way as the block off plate does.

Not sure I'd like to drive around with excess +ve pressure in the crank case engine.

Why not simply cut the pipe and put a blank inbetween, then hose clip in place. That'll save using 2 extra clips.
One thing I noticed was the guy used a screw driver to remove the plastic hoses's clips. All that's required is to squeeze the clips.

I did my own PCV fix buying a metal body double check valve for £15. After 4 years it's still 100%.
Easy to check vacuum and boost with the boost gauge installed on dash.
