Mine does the same every year, normally end up going for a run then testing it.I don't think its the maf as i've changed that twice. I'm getting a sports cat soon so i'll be changing the lambda sensor at the same time. I've notice my car has to very hot to pass the emissions

Sounds like it could be the lambda sensor mate.

Mine did the same last year before it had a remap.
And this year had to have a second run (after a remap) to get it through

Had the same problem just last week, took the car for the mot and failed on the emmissions, im running a sports cat full millket system

After spending ages trying to find a problem the only thing i could come to was the sensor being the problem

I had to change it but passed after it was done

On 00 models there is only 1 sensor, think the next model is it 02/03 + there are 2 sensors

Didnt cost much 4 a new 1 but still a pain sorting out, but still had 2 give the car a good run out with the chip turned off 2 get the car really hot 2 get it through

ok thingss are starting to get strange the other day before my MOT the petrol gauge went from half full to full and said i could do 600+ miles on the DIS then after some heavy right footing it came back down to normal but since then economy hasnt been as good and as with MOT the emissions were high.

    Anybody had this before?
