had a mini accident yesterday and managed to break a power steering pipe that runs accross the top of the subframe that has a banjo bolt on it.

Wanna get one ordered asap so i can get it fixed next week and back on the road so as its BH Monday 2moro i wont be able to contact the stealers till tuesday so if someone has access to ekta and can give me the part njumber then at least i will have a head start.

    Cheers

    Rob

Got the pipe off today had a proper success and removed the whole subframe on my own in less than an hour :)

Phoned audi had a heart attack when they quoted £210 + vat !!!!!!!

So after looking at the very small hole and working out that it is a steel pipe i jumped in my parnets cart and went to the local metal shop who are gonna weld it for me.

So hopefully will be up and running today and can test out my new 3" DP and sports cat :)

Is it the pressure hose or return hose?

If its the return you could have just fixed it yourself with a bit of hose and some jubilees.

If its the pressure side i'd be a little worried about **** from the weld making it into the rack...

Not sure which pipe it is but its a tiny pin hole (i only knicked it with the grinder) so the weld will just be very small and they guy said it was an easy job so i think all should be good.

I did think about repairning it myself as suggested but this seems a better fix plus a damn site cheaper than buying the "new" pipe from mr audi.

The fix cost me a grand total of £5 :)

Weld is good and pipe is back on the car and topped up with new power steering fluid and were good to go.
