Well after buying the thing months ago, i finally got around to finish the installation and calibrating it.

I had to buy some weatherproof plugs as the connectors are in a place thats likely to get damp when it rains (under the scuttle panel). I spent a couple of hours this evening fitting the new connectors (very intricate wiring!) and now its all complete and it WORKS! woohoo

calibrated the wheel speeds at 100mph so they are accurate at speed and then found a wet road.

Now, in 2n gear in the wet, youd get to about 3500rpm at W.O.T just when boost kicks in and the wheels would break traction and spin upto the redline with the car going somewhat sideways as a result...

NOW, you get it on boost in the wet in 2nd gear, and its so discrete you hear it an dont feel it... It VERy quickly cuts the injectiors to each cylinder in order until traction is gained...Can now use full power in the wet without traction being a problem. VERY impressed with it!

As for launch, well i need to sort that out. The wheel speeds are not being picked up until about 25mph, so this causes it to misfire at low speed regardless... What im doing as a stop gap is to set the minimum active speed to 30nph so it wont use it at low speed...Fine for the time being until i can sort it.

Its going to be a winning combination when i fit the LSD... Traction will NOT be a problem... AT ALL! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

its a real b*stard to fit! Not hard, just VERY awkward. Vehicle wiring diagrams are essential (Cheers HTC!) The setup is very complex and i feel its going to take me AGES to get perfect.

Did the A3/S3 originally come with traction control (TCS) before changing to ESC? If so I take it that it wasnt any use compared to Racelogic.
