My clutch master cylinder decided to give up a few weeks back, i ve just replaced it and all is good now. While it was in my garage i fitted a new TIP as before my car was only reving to about 4500 - 5000 and it was then lossing all power like going into limp mode.

i dont know if its just me but now the car seems very responsive, the boost holds alot longer, use to die off at 4500rpm now it boosts like crazy pretty much all the way up to 6000 rpm.

BUT....now when i change gear, press the clutch down and when its in boost it revs the engine as the turbo is still boosting....it didnt use to do this, im sure when i pressed the clutch in it didnt rev so much by itself

could this be a sticking DV? or is this just normal and because my clutch was probably on its way out before i didnt notice it?

I think the problem of over revving is probably unrelated to the TIP issue!

Many S3's seem to get a problem with the clutch switch at the pedal box.

Search over revving and theres loads of info about it :)

Thanks, ive looked around found more than one answer,

so it could be either
Clutch Switch - High posibillity as i have just changed the Clutch master cylinder
N75 valve
DV

What does the clutch switch look like where is it located? is it easy to adjust or tell if it isnt working?
