So i bought a 1999 audi a6 quattro running the 2.5 diesel v6
I got it for 700. It was a bit of a gamble.
And now im sort of regretting my purchase.
I own two other cars. One is in bits one needs sone attention...
Anyway what i thought was a blocked egr is looking to be a failed injector pump. Along with a needle lift sensor after getting it plugged into vag com.
The only symptom the car isnt showing is the black smoke so im gonna replace the fuel filter and hope that clears the pump code...pray even...
Ive looked at the how toos and believe some money could still be made on this if it is the the news i dont want. And if i was to spend the money fixing it i would really have to sell it after. Also dont really have the time to be doing this.
Looked into scrapping it..not happening.
My next option was ebay or a car auction. I want to see at least half my money back. If im going to make a loss.
Really stuck what to do. Annoying thing is it ran fine on the test. Apart from sounding a bit loud.
