    Hiya all..

I'm after getting hold of the black 'optics' front grill for my S-Line and just wondered if anyone could confirm or provide the correct part numbers for both the grill and number plate plinth please :icon_thumright:

A search both on here and down at the dealers would suggest the part numbers to be:

    8P4 853 651 D VMZ - for the grill assembly??

Either 8P4 807 285 C 3FZ or 8P4 807 285 G 3FZ for the 'black number plate plinth'?? No idea what the different letters denote though?

If anyone with access to ETKA/ETOS etc or has actually ordered one could confirm which of the above numbers are correct it would be greatly appreciated :icon_thumright:

    TIA
    Steve

    Hey Steve.

I know someone that's still got a spare black surround. What me to find out if he wants to sell it?

    :)

The 'C' in the first number indicates it's for vehicles with codes PR-2JD+6W4+4ZP which is S-LINE, Japan, matt black.

The 'G' indicated codes PR-2JD+6W6+4ZM which is S-LINE,universal,standard.

The 3FZ at the end of the number indicates the colour - black.

It's a bit of a running joke. I do have a spare grilled surround (the bit that is usually chrome) brand new and boxed that I bought in error. I'll wait to see if Beddie is interested but if not it's yours. Obviously you'd still need the actual black grille and number plate plinth.

Can I not just fit that bit on it's own - how is the chrome surround held on - is it glued? I assume this was your original plan - or not?!?!

Sort of my original plan. But...

Your grille and number plate plinth may look black but they're actually dark grey. Using all three parts in black gives it a much better look IMO. I believe the surround does unclip, I never tried. I ended up re-ordering all three parts and the surround comes already attached to the grille.

Very informative Dave, cheers mate

Dealer parts guy did originally suggest the 'C' version but i suspect i'd have to break out the hacksaw to shorten the front number plate a little... :)

Off to the dealers tomorrow for a grill and a 'G' version plinth it is then...
