I've got my cat now and I have this controller -

    Address 10: Park/Steer Assist (J446) Labels: 8P0-919-475-7X1.clb
    Part No SW: 8P0 919 475 G HW: 8P0 919 475
    Component: PARKHILFE 4K H06 0120
    Revision: 11001001
    Coding: 000103
    Shop #: WSC 06314 000 00000
    VCID: 4280C0B564E4

Which as you can see is a 4 sensor but VCDS didn't seem to have any more coding info. I'll have to see what Ross Tech know about it.

Cheers Stu, I see you have repeatedly questioned what Parking Controller others have, lol.

No idea what I have but following my visit to Gareth's hopefully i'll be able to shed some more light on the subject.

    Will keep you posted.

Yeah, the reason I am interested is that so far as I know Optical is only offered with an 8 sensor setup and I only have rears. I don't really want the hassle of adding the fronts so I'm interested to know if the 4 sensor can be made to work with Optical or Camera.

i've asked RT so I'll let you know.

Have a look at 8P 2011 in ETKA page 919-20 it shows part numbers & the order codes to the right next to them thats shown in the brochure, this will enable you to work out which module does what.

But, it also shows the D module as 7X2 compatible, so this will do OPS aswell IMHO, whether or not this is Front & Rear aswell, as I seem to recall this was maybe an older module with rear only, but need to confirm with others on here if they have this module.

I have the H module & the sensors 4H0919275A all round as per ETKA.

As per Stu has said, but you also will need possibly to rewire the BUS to the drivetrain instead of convenience along with possibly upgrading your gateway to suit, as module 10 wasnt available on older gateway modules, I now have the latest AD version which supports all latest modules.

I have fitted front & rear system as thats the only system that seems to support OPS (subject to checks of the D module) if you look at the 8P latest brochure, shows 7X2 as the order code for that system.

Re: RT, same position as always, emails sent but no replies, but see him replying to threads that have been resolved way before his input.

That would depend on your pdc module fitted & possibly the sensors aswell, if this is the auto steering you have, then it may clash, TBC.

When I've 100% finished fitting yes mate :)

Well latest version is 8P1862335, wonder what this has added as its from 5/10.

I only know that the D & H module will do OPS & the H is Front & Rear only, as if I have front disconnected it wont work at all, just beep once to signify a fault, when fronts are in then will work fine.

Must be a way to trick the pdc module into thinking the fronts are working ok & no obstacles.

Was that 7P6 on a VW?

Yes for the camera system they're using the R8 module but this isnt OPS like this system, it was a camera feed with lines.

If you want both then a VW car would be needed as not seen an Audi with the system like VW's have.

My 1st thought is dont goto Gareth.

Well unless you have scanned the car to see what faults are there & modules installed for the pdc, then cant really be specific, but sounds like needs coding properly as it wont just work out of the box, rns has to be coded for this to work & may take few hours to take hold as mine did, about 4-5 hours to be exact for modules to recognise system.

PDC Plus doesnt neccessarily mean yours is compat, you need to check the pdc module fitted & wiring may need changing.

G module is the 7X1 order code & isnt OPS, you'll need to upgrade IMHO.

Well I have repeatedly emailed & msn'd someone, but I also got no reply, maybe some who are asking for advice & help should bare this in mind next time when they are asking for advice/info IMHO!!!!!

If we can check the D pdc module then this may answer your query.

    As above.

Well, not taking anything away from Nigel as the gotta give him a big thanks for giving me the inspiration and information for me to get it done too.

I did take it to Gareth, he's has always helped out with any queries I've had and sorted out the coding for me which as it happened Nigel was the same as you highlighted above:

    0x?xxxx: Treble Speaker Monitoring inactive
    • 0 = Front Treble Speaker Monitoring inactive active (NOT Audi A4 Cabriolet)
    • 1 = Front Treble Speaker Monitoring inactive inactive (ONLY Audi A4 Cabriolet)
    • 2 = Optical Parking System????
No additional wiring, no additional modules. Near enough plug and play.

A couple of pics... (haven't pushed the unit in as yet as I want to explor\investigate Digital TV and Multi DVD Player. Apologies for Pic quality but you can blame the iphone for that..!

Stu - Why not 'suck it and see' nothing to lose.

If anyone knows where the module lives, happy to take a look at model number etc.

No disrespect mate, but you could of spent the dough on his time on buying vcds & then coded it yourself & had the cable still to use, PM me when you are interested in the investment, as this is a prime example of where it would be useful to have huh fella.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Nigel, I've been working away for quite some time with no access to MSN so you wouldn't have been able to get hold of me and I've not seen any email. Would have replied if I did.

A bit more news from me. The most recent version of VCDS now has support for the 8P0 919 475 G. Looking at the coding page it offers both OPS and RVC. I tried to enable OPS but it won't take it however it will allow coding for RVC. This was also confirmed in a reply from Ross Tech. Clearly the proof would be in the pudding and trying the camera.

So far as I am aware the new version of VCDS still doesn't have support for the new gloss framed RNS-E. My coding is 0209725 if that helps at all. Seems to tie in with what Nigel has above. I will try the change to OPS on the RNS-E and see what happens.

I don't know that I am going to get OPS working with just the rear sensors I have so I think I will go down the RVC route. I'm going to spend some time today confirming the wiring for the RVC today but I think there is a loom on Kufatec that might just be suitable.

Nigel there is a suitable RVC setup for the 8P that will give you the same results as the Mk5/6 VW ones you refer too.

I've read through this thread.. im i really want the parking to display on my 2011 rns-e (193f)..

here's the thing i have the factory parking sensors that came with the car, , would i have to replace anything? or can i just vag to get the parking screen to show up? i know it wont show fronts (becuase i dont have them) but will it at-least show the rears? ..

and if so.. can someone tell me exactly what needs to be coded in vag com?

    Hello, I'm Italian and unfortunately I do not speak English well and I apologize for that;

    I have two months from a S-Tronic TTS facelift and I would turn on the OPS had RNS-E and 193D PARKING rear;

    -What should I do?
-I will post the detailed encoding?

PARKING will post my unit and I thank you very much and I apologize for the poor language!

It already states the setup, you need to try coding your rns for the system, if this doesnt work, then you'll need a different controller & front sensors.

Depending on your year of car, it did change bus around 08, went from Convenience to Drivetrain, no LIN involvement iirc.

I have tried is to put 2 instead of 0 in the right position and I also tried:
connec t the VAGCOM tool. select parking system / after 07 (code) I replace the second bit (from the left) by 2 (before 0).

But it still does not work!

How do I know if the active function '
Just shift into reverse and is the chart or something I have to first set up SETUP?

I brought the code above, dates back to before you try!
