I'm currently running Stage 2+ APR on my 2007 S3, with the Loba Motorsport Clutch/SMF set-up.

Love the way the car drives and the clutch has a great feel about it & barely notice the lack of DMF.

Anyway.. the bit which is not so good is the movement of engine and transmission when accelerating hard (rolling or from a standard start). From looking through other peoples experiences, there are a couple of options I should be considering (Not bothered about NVH (it's a weekend road / odd track day car) & i'd rather it was putting the power down properly (I'll be fitting all 3 mounts)

    1. Revo/BSH/Kenney -

    2. APR/Vibratechnics -

    3. THS

I cant be arsed importing from the states, want a good UK supplier & all of the above can be had in the UK (working on the assumption that the revo stuff is rebranded bsh and apr is rebranded vibratechnics), if i'm wrong then just shout.

There is a really big difference in price between the THS stuff and the other two, does the kit do a good job & will it last ?

I wasn't going to start the handling work until later in the spring, but this is doing my dinger in & I need to sort it quickly (bilstein coils, H&R ARBs, Quiafe Diff, uprated Haldex Controller & full suspension polybush being done in Spring... along with better pads/discs/fluid/brake lines).

Thanks in advance for any help/opinions provided

The THS comes well recommended and seems fine.

I have the VWRAcing/Vibratechnics kit on mine which is pretty solid, but basically,ANY of these kits will do a good job.

    ^^^ Thanks Alex.

It would be good to hear of any experience on the Revo/BSH kit too - The BSH engine mount was the only thing that could keep my engine from moving about on my old R53 Mini after the Disco Potato replaced the M45 charger.

Vibratechnics have a great name though, just need to justify the big increase in cost over the THS stuff (which will no doubt be fine for what I need, but i've always been partial to a bit of over-engineering...lol).

I think the THS has enough of a good reputation to be able to buy safely.,/p>I've owned a car with solid mounts previously(my old Escort Cosworth),and driven VWRacing's own car as well, and would not recommend solid mounts for road use,but the VWR/Vibratechnics semi-solid or fast road mounts, are plenty hard enough, and will remove the feeling of the engine flopping around under load.

Bought the THS mounts (2 x engine & the gearbox mount), the vibratechnics dogbone & the whiteline anti-lift kit (just because I was on Awesome gti's site and felt it a bit rude not too (after 'saving' on the cost of the mounts...).

Also bought some spare brake discs/pads from ECP while they've got their sale on.

Looking forward to getting it all fitted and then starting on the proper suspension work!

I have 034 Motorsport Street Density mounts which are very similar to THS (look exactly the same) and im very happy with them. Not a big difference in NVH and the drive feels a lot more solid.

    ^^Thanks chaps.

I've just started a new project thread, got some decent plans for this car - 500 at the fly is too much for me though Alex!
