My audi A6 got stolen last night! one of the worst site to be honest. came out and the car was not there. I am talking about London Westminster, no signs of any broken windows etc, now I fear whoever did it is coming back for my s3 as well. I guess it was loaded onto a truck or something. I have no idea how some people could get away with it. Key is still with me so I hope it will be useless to them.

    here are the details:

    A6 siliver auto 1.8T K03
    on R251 ULT plate 1997.
    all colour coded bumpers
a4 17" 5 spoke alloys, 5 headrests and and HID lights.

the worst thing is I just did a 1 year road tax and mot on friday.

yes I have called the westminster to see if they have taken it away, insurance knows and police are aware. but it is a bit hopless. do I need to tell the DVLA? would I be able to claim the road tax?

please if you do see it report it to the police.

    thanks everyone.

Same thing happened to the bloke over the road from me, had his bmw 3 series nicked during the night.

No one heard or saw anything, no signs of glass or damage and keys were still in house.

How they managed it i dont know, unless they hotwired it somehow, would think a tow truck would be too noisy!

Doubt you will see that car again mate im afraid, anyone who goes to that much trouble is not going to be easily caught, police are all but useless nowadays unless your caught speeding or injured somebody.

Seems odd it was taken without keys. Sure your house/flat wasnt entered...all spare keys accounted for etc?.

Without sounding like a cock an R reg A6 isnt a hugely desirable car for a car crook. Seems odd to bother taking that on a low loader without keys when there are other cars (potentially if its Westminster) as its huge amounts of risky effort for what essentially is a fairly low value car these days if that makes sense?. Dont take offence from that but if I was a crook nicking a car with a low loader I'd be going for something a bit more pricey.

    Did it have tracker fitted?

Lets hope its someones recovered it in error.

Problem is it doesn't stand out, well built, reliable and reasonabley quick to ferry 4 scallies and their loot. It's not just new and/or rare cars that get swiped by scum bags. Might have even been taken for spares. Also being a common lower priced vehicle if it's rung and sold on most buyers won't bother checking thoroughly.

Sorry to here though mate :(

Thanks, everyone, well I was out in the s3, and that was home, with the keys left at home, the rest of the family were all in, so no, thank god they have not broken in. no tracker was fitted. I think some one must have applied for a copied key by false documents and drove it away or cleaver trucker loaded while witched off and made a quick drive for it. all in all still no news of it. it was parked in front of a 2007 Porsche Boxter! but whoever did it knew they would get away with it as the more expensive cars would have more security to crack. There are no CCTVs!!! But only two weeks ago couple of roads down from mine, again in Westminter, they council managed to slap me with a £60 fine through the post for waiting on a single yellow line on a Saturday. I am honestly annoyed.

Im sorry to hear mate! Im all the way in kingston so i doubt i'll see it but you never know, i'll keep my eyes peeled and follow it and steal it back for you :) Or i'll just call the police lol. Atleast nobody was around to get hurt or anything. Im sure you'll see it again one day fingers crossed. I swear i heard that crooks had found a way to steal your car without keys or anything on vag cars? Read it on a thread here..

My dad had a brand new Jag XF for a courtesy car when his E-class Merc was hit during the snow a few months back. a couple days before the car was due to go back to Enterprise the car disappears from the drive. We had the key in the house and no one broke in. It was taken between 2am and 5am but no noise was heard, no alarm, there were no signs of glass broken or any marks on the ground... just a missing £40,000 car?! most baffling thing is the drive has 4 cars on it and just enough space around the cars to walk around. the street is one of those streets where you can drive down one side and the other side has parked cars so i cannot see how it would have been pulled off the drive.
We know Enterprise have the spare key but that is 'apparently' locked away at head office, and it is one of those keys you have to put in the lower centre console just to get past the immobiliser and then push the start button to get the engine on... made no sense to us.
worst part there are lots of flashy cars on the road they could have chosen... but they took that??
  8. never read all posts but........

get a tracker fitted ASAP to the S3, 99% recovery rate within 24 hrs.......

cars like yours can be taken so easily its a joke, i wouk in the motor industry and leaving my car anywhere terrifys me!

if they want it it WILL go, keys or not.

sorry for your loss but tracker the S3 tomorow!!!
