I have oil level sensor fault showing on dash 2005 2.0tdi oil can showing senor fault.
I have replaced the sensor ( more than once) so I know this is good.
I can get the light to go out by removing the clocks and it resets but always comes back, sometimes the light goes out itself if its cold outside.
I have had it scanned with VCDS and it shows
00562- sensor for oil level/temperature (G266)
008-implausible signal-intermittant
This will not clear when a clear faults is tried with VCDS, the fault remains in the memory
Are there any good technicians on here that can point me in the right direction?
My thoughts are there is a fault in dash clocks
