Oil Reassurance

im going to get some oil for my 2002 1.8T.

Now im sure i need 5w30 fully synthetic but just need reassuring im getting the correct one before i buy, with Castrol Edge being the best ?

I would look this up in my Audi Handbook but cant ****** find it

Spot on - Halfords have a sale on at the mo (well did do the other day) 20% off - I bought 8 litres for my next change.

5w30 FS

Options are Castrol Edge (I have used and liked), Magnatec (bit off now?) and I have got some Mobil Formula stuff which appears to be pretty good.
