hi, is there any info on here about how to replace the chain driven pump with the geard pump?
Make yourself a cuppa and have a read of this :-
Are you having trouble with the Oil Pump ? I know Sanburn can do away with the whole silly balance shaft assembly and replace it with the reliable oil pump setup out of the 1.9 TDI engines. Give then a call 02476637376 and speak to Wayne
have got gear driven unit just need some tech advice on removal
I have access to Elsa which will give a step by step guide on replacing the drive arrangement and pump, see sample below for my engine, send me your year, model, engine code and gearbox type and I will post the relevant sections on here for you
2005-a4-s-line 2.0 tdi-blb engine-cvt multitronic.
thanks very much-also is there any info for cam belt change? as i imagine this will need to be changed?
Sorry to barge in on this, but would you have the relevant information on Elsa on how to replace the injectors on a 2007 A4 TDI, fitted with a 16V PD TDI, engine code BRD.
A step by step guide would be a help, and the relevant torque settings would be fantastic.
Apologies for the delay mate, attached procedures below for:
Removing and Installing Oil Pump Chain Driven
Removing and Installing Oil Pump Gear Driven
Hope this helps
Here you go mate
have you not csalled the main dealers to check to see if its due a recall on them? my car was done a few months back all for free
Thanks for that.
Already had all 4 done in its life - had 1 done, then another 1 done then 2 through recall i believe, all before i owned it. Just waiting for Audi to inform me if its had all 4 done, when and where.
Been suffering starting problems when my car has not been used for a couple of days which i thought could possibly be fuel pressure related, hence the (hopefully not) need for the guide to replace the injector seals.
thats great krumz
to me that points more towards air being drawn in somewere, ie leaky fuel filter / fuel pipe fitting on the low pressure side
Changed the fuel filter the other day, fitted a genuine VAG filter and put the supplied new 'o' rings on the thermostatic t piece - which did feel as though it was definately a good fit when pushed in.
I am going to have the gear driven oil pump replaced to 1.9 version any else had it done any issues ?
I believe you need to change the sprocket, chain, chain guide and pump. Also think you need to plug the oil supply holes in the block to the balance shaft assembly.
