oil pump questions on tfsi bul code engine

hi all.

i have bought a 2007 sline se avant quattro.

im going thorough it all before i start driving it in the new year, i read that the tfsi also has oil pump issues,
its runs perfect now and would like to keep it that way, im thinking of removing the sump to clean it out and replace the strainer with the new part no one,

is there any thing else i can do to prevent any issues later in its life, my thinking is that the issues with the oil pump stem from the fact its got a partly restricted oil supply to it,? am i wrong?

ive removed the sump cleaned it all out and replaced the strainer, it was all very clean anyhow which was nice to see,

the ballance shaft and chain are all in perfect order, so i will drive it as it is now and look into replacing the ballance shaft kit in the new year,

has the first drive if it aswell, i managed all of 5 miles before i loaded in a remap.,
