I know this has been covered a huge amount! But i've read so much i'm now confused!
I'm looking at buying a 56 plate a4 avant 170 tonight if the car checks out decent. Would it be gear or chain driven oil pump? Or is the only way to tell by getting the engine code? Also what would need to be replaced in both situations, just so i have an idea.
