Oil pick up pipe - worth doing immediately?

As the title says. I've had my a3 tfsi quattro (2007) a week now with 135k on clock. I've read about this version and the oil pick up pipe common to get clogged and that there is a new revision part for this but realise it's an sump off job.

Just not sure to get it done straight away for peace of mind or if I can just hold out on it for a while to replenish my finances - peoples thoughts?

Even if you don't do it immediately, I would do this before any 'would like' mods...a nice car is no good if it won't go anywhere

Your right, I've got plans to take to stage 1 possibly to stage 2 as well very soon like this weekend ha so have booked in this week to get it done

Got round to it today, had local garage carry it out. Nothing too bad but can start to see round sides some signs of some build up. At least I know now there's a new one on there.
