I got a 2001 s3 that seems to be burning a lot of oil no signs of any leak but I'm going from max to min on the dipstick in the space of a week - 2 weeks I noticed the exhaust tailpipe is covered in oil but I not noticed any smoke really. any ideas on the likely cause of this ?

So I was phoning around looking at replacing my turbo on my s3 amk it is standard at min but mite go stage. 1 in future bearing that in mind I was told I would best getting a stage 1 turbo. Is this needed or would the OEM be ok
Surely the standard turbo can handle stage 1/2
