OIL FILTER

    I have just changed the oil and filter on my 1.8t 190 sport and noticed the new filter(halfords) is not as big as the the one audi put on last service.
    Is this going to cause any problems?could I just get a new filter and screw it on as it sits quite high on engine without loosing too much oil?
    Any advice most appreciated

    I only ever use genuine parts for service myself, and it's smaller it's clearly going to affect filtration and oil pressure. If it was mine it would be coming straight off......

    Use the correct Audi one ~ £11 - there are different ones depending on engine size, etc.

    When buying your filter from main dealer opt for the bigger filter. I know with the 1.8t there are two size's available.

    I got Oil, Filter and Sump Flug all from Audi £37. Thought this was an Ok price.

    £5.55 filter
    £1.26 plug
    £26.05 oil
    + VAT
