4weeks of ownership and the car has to be taken back to the dealership

Creaking steering column when turning left

    and

    Rattling Passenger Door

so much for Audi Build quailty, i expect a £5k car to rattle NOT a £27K (thats what the previous owner paid for it) car!

I know the steering column is a common problem

i think i might wait until the service is due so i can get it all done, too much hassle!

You may find that it is actually the glovebox lid which is rattling, rather than the passenger door.

I had this with mine. It is the curved lid stay at the lower lefthand side of the glovebox lid creaking against its guides. Just squirt some WD40 on it !

I wouldn't wait for the service - the creaking gets incredibly frutstrating and they never carry stock - mine took 5 weeks to get, so you will probably end up with extra trips anyway. The replacement rack completely cured it though.
