offset question

Hello All
I have a quick question on audi - vw off set. someone in work has a mk4 golf and is intrested in my wheels (17" standard audi a3 sport ET56) will they fit not sure of the golfs off set but i have seen audi wheels on golfs before PL S3 wheels but unsure if the off set is diffrent from PL P8 wheels any help would be great cheers

Offset is too high, but PCD is wrong anyhow, so no chance of them fitting.

Yeap mk4 5x100, a3 5x112 as Pete says, not without an adapter & personally I wouldnt even bother with that either as another thing to create noise, bad ride, problems etc
