Couldn't believe it this evening when, whilst in crawling traffic on the M6, my car seemed to be getting noticed. (I did wonder if something was dropping of it at one stage)

Once by a young lad and his girlfriend in a Clio, almost doing an owl impression to look at my car.

The next by two blokes in a white mini-van. First when they crawled past they were just looking. Next as I passed them they gave me a thumbs up!! I returned two fingers...no, only joking, thumbs up really. How cool is that! :)

does'nt seem to happen much these days, nice when it does though.

I was dining at my good friend Ronald's house this evening. I had just washed the car and he was on my way home so I nipped in for a quick bite.

It's in a kinda rough area - the kinda place where you are likely to get your wheels nicked if you stay too long at a red light. Anyway, I was getting into the car when I spotted a tracksuited local with baseball cap and obligatory medallion running towards me. I was trying to work out my options - jump in and lock doors\run away\just give him the keys - when he gave me a thumbs up and shouted "lovely car mister". He then proceded to shout to his colleagues across the road and tell them to look at my car. I felt kinda bad as I was driving away. Must be a day for blowing away the stereotypes.

Sadly in complete contrast to the end of my first day's of oggling (which there was rather a lot BTW) a sad chap who was facing me at the traffic lights in a Mk 4 Escort waving his wrist to indicate I was a ******.

Well actually mate, I am sure we all are at some point in out lives, but having worked my *** off for two years and sitting in my new uber wagon, actualy could not give a flying .... what he thought! :whistle2: Still far too busy trying to get round the MMI sat nav interface!

He liked the car because he was a chav, eh Bowfer!

I got the same when I was stuck in a traffic jam on the A2 the after picking up my new 07 plate A3 :) Any other colour they probably wouldn't have noticed but the fact it was Misano Red I think helped :)
