Hello All,

My first post but I've been lurking for a while!

I have an A3 1.9TDI Sport Sportback 07 model. (Couldn't quite manage to get the 2.0TDI!) When it hits 3000RPM in any gear it makes a very light grinding noise. It's not very noticeable, only with the Radio on.

Any Ideas?

PS I'm gutted my car didn't come with the new sport Alloys as thet are stunning!

Cheers

Im going to the dealer with it next week. It's happening as the revs pass 3000RPM when I accelerate.

The new sport alloys are very nice looking 5 spoke jobs.

Could it be an engine mount or bush???
I think the TDi's have somer very clever bushes on the engine mounts to counter engine vibration - my dads A4 had a problem a while ago, and i'm sure the syptoms we're when rev's got to certain points he heard a matallic noise.

I may be wrong - just trying to remember what my dad said the problem was!!
