yep No-Rice is basically a community (where I started out from actually) and the meets are very toned down. Its mainly VW's, mk1, mk2 etc etc with some corrado's and such. Its basically park up, walk around and have a look at all the cars and enjoy the chilled out atmosphere and attitude, NO burnouts, NO loud music, the total opposite of Max Power.

Ming, if your thinking of coming down, let me know, its always good to introduce No-Rice virgins to the scene :)

Jim, a few Audis, yeah :)

And just in case anyone is wondering 'no rice' means no rice burners which is an american term for (souped-up) Japanese cars.

Depends how fast you drive, I've done the journey from here to cardiff in 90mins, so maybe 2 1/2 hours for you from door to door (I don't live in fleet but about 15 mins away). 5 hours round trip to meet some car mad blokes in a service station car park, come on you know it makes sense.

8th November? what time does it start? by the time I arrive it'll probably be over.. I can't take time off work that day, as there's a recruitment fair @ Swansea Uni - and my company's got a pitch there.

That was meant to be a joke... oops :keule: I must work on writing sarcasm I get the feeling it doesn't come across very well...

You REALLY want to drive for 5 hours to stand around in a car park in a service station?

I've got not idea what time it starts either... so not much help there I'm afraid.

Well that does have potential to be more fun than standing around in a car park, that said I think if I can get away from work for once I might actually go along this week as I've not been before either.

I was going to, but I'm probably going to be stuck at work untill around 10 and by that time I won't be in a fit state for anything other than food, drink and sleep. I'll pop along to the next one though!

Was good never seen so many modified vee dubs. Poor show on the audi front though. Me and a silver s3 on porsche rims and thats about it. Got a few pics but it was a bit dark for them to come out on my phone.

Went there too, we were in a red A4 on 19" BBS's did ya spot that???

Awesome display of MK2's many on immaculate 2 piece BBS's and a surprising amount of Polo's as well, never knew they could look so cool.

Saw quite a few cars that i recognised from magazine features, some of those boys have obviously spent obscene amounts of money on those little cars.

Definitely going next month, if you appreciate well modified veebubs, as most of us do, it's well worth a trip down there.

    :respekt:
