Thought this was pretty cool, not sure if it's been done yet?

Painting the lower centre section of the bumper matt black, looks quite similar to the splitter on '09 facelift :)

Yep, was just browsing over there and spotted it - thought it would be useful to some of the guys on here who want the FL look but don't want to replace the entire front end!

It also brings the front more up to date, all the new Audi's have a platinum grey splitter at, it also shows the bumper fins off better.

I had to look a few times to spot what you were on about. You wouldn't notice it on black

The S-Line rear bumper has a Platinum Grey diffuser insert. That'd probably be a good colour for it.

Yes, Platinum Grey would be better than black - just like the splitter on the facelifts:

That is a cool little mod. I think the car would have to be the right colour for maximum effect.

We know it's a photoshop, we weren't relying on you to point it out!

I gotta point out (coz it's been dwelling on my mind for a couple of weeks) that for a hugely knowledgeable and clearly very capable individual, with a massive amount to offer the Audi community, you come across as a serious fuckwhit a lot of the time.

My opinion of course ... no malice intended!

    Lmao

You are entitled to your opinion given its a forum, now here's mine:

I do like it when numpties like you attempt to use the english language by using a swearword & seemingly contradicts yourself easily, on one hand you praise me (which I'm not looking for at all) "hugely knowledgeable and clearly very capable individual, with a massive amount to offer the Audi community" then you say I'm a fuckwit alot of the time, I see you thought that one out very well indeed didnt we, seems your very constructive words of wisdom make so much difference to the forum that its a wonder what we ever did without you, ah now I know who to come to for any advice on oxford english & well thought out insults to other members

I was merely pointing out nice photoshop job, can you not read or have your beer bottom specs got a little steamed over absolutely sod all.

Next time think before opening your obvious big & very unthoughtful mouth, to explain again "Nice photoshop job" means exactly that you feckwit as you so well put it or is that a little to difficult for your ever expanding use of the dictionary/mind to understand.

Get of your high chair & stop being an arse over nothing whatsoever, storm in a tea cup

Feck knows what your problem is V6Pete, I dont know what your issue is at all cause I've checked any threads we've both been on & not once have we been at logger heads.

The last time we chatted was on PM very amicably about RNS parts, are you pissed just cause I told you your offer was not what I wanted to sell the bits for, are you that chilidish to throw your dummy out of the pram cause you didnt get your own way, I mean wtf is your issue, I didnt agree with your offer now you wanna get all personal on the forum, are you stupid or something??? I mean defies belief that you would actually be that chilidish over that, is this what its about, seriously??? You made an offer I turned it down, simple given they are my parts so who I choose to sell to or not is my choice unless I'm mistaken

If you have something to say or have a problem with me then feel free to take it to a PM to me rather than start the ***** on a thread which from what I can see hasnt had any bad words to say to either of you or the thread originator so we dont get harrassed by mods.

As I've already said I merely said cool photoshop job & others can clearly also read this aswell

I'm a relative newbie to this site but I do browse a lot, and it has to be said NHN that you do come across as an elitist twat a lot of the time and then do yourself no favours by defending yourself. That's not a personal insult by the way, I find it quite amusing.

I can see 3 posts by you in what 4 months & you've come to this conclusion all by yourself, god seems the sap has truly come out of the wood tonite, so just cause I share my knowledge of audi's to others to help out given owned a few that makes me an elitist twat, I'm sure the people who've shared my info would disagree somewhat, urrm I can see your thought process, tell me did you take 4 months to learn how to use the mouse & keyboard or is someone typing for you???

    You rose to the baiting!
I came to the conclusion by using my eyes and reading. That conclusion, as you may have noted if you had read my reply, was ambiguous and in no way derived from your passing of knowledge or expertise in many threads on this forum. You only seem to "come across as an elitist twat" when someone "threatens" your opinion or rises up against a sarky or blunt comment you've made when you appear to have a bee in your bonnet. I've actually gained some insight from quite a few of your posts and am not even going to grace you with a decent come back to your last post as it's actually quite childish :p

    evapor8...you're a c-u-n-t

    end

NHN is clearly more experienced when it comes to A3's, he knows more about them than my local dealer probably would. He's very helpful to people who ask for his advice/help

TBH, id get sick of morons like you that rise to every challenge to become "keyboard warrior" if i was Nigel as well

Just feck off and leave it out

And Andy, NHN doesnt really need a "comback" as he's not 5

Not sure about being a twat, NHN has always been very helpful and gone out of his way to help me when i've needed it. Takes it upon himself to help in every way he can, even when he's not sure bout something (very rarely). Learnt a lot from his posts and can't see why people would call him a twat, jealousy maybe.

No simply responding to your post & why not as seems you seem to have a handle on me so well I thought I couldnt let you down by not acknowledging your wealth of knowledge about many things of me, I know where to find my biographer now & tbh if you were purely posting for the 3rd time in so many months just, then why is it just to bait a reaction, do you consider that a pointless exercise on your side or are you a psychology major studying for a dissertation to write, it does seem either you've been goated by a friend above to add to the thread just to prevoke or you're just a waster looking for a rise from anyone, whichever it is I do feel for your brain cause common sense seems to be missing somewhat

If you read my daily posts you'd see I dont walk around swinging my penis around saying hey look at me, thats not my stance whatsoever, I know what I know, I help when I can, I also learn from others a fair bit aswell & tbh if I think someone's being a **** then I'll say it, I dont consider myself above anyone, but nice of few to see my knowledge has some use, I for one am direct, blunt & tell it as it is, as some others on here, if you dont like it then tough

As for threatens my opinion, please really thats a pathetic attempt by you, its only when someone posts incorrect information that it makes others like yourself follow the wrong road, I dont take that as a knock at all & certainly not a bee in my bonnet, but certainly if I know what I've read is indeed untrue I will add to this to try & correct the information as many well respected members will also do, Ess_Three, Andymac, HTC, all in there own right very knowledgable on the particular subjects as such, its like telling someone to undo the wheel bolts without having a carjack in place, if you understand my analogy, but by no means does this make me elite at all, I do find that funny

But this is a forum afterall to debate knowledge by anyone, even yours if we can maybe one day see some of it cause posts to date havnt really added anything constructive have they, this is factual, not fiction anyone can see by clicking on your name & see all posts by you, oh its upto 4 now, remember you lowered the tone & set the precedence, do we need to continue this given the thread is about a mod not me.

As I said if you have more to say take it to PM, I'll gladly reply, I dont post, run & hide.

You're doing it again right there :p

Not once did I say that you did "walk around swinging your penis around" or in fact deride you in any other manner other than state that you can in certain circumstances (such as now) come across as a bit of a twat. I didn't state that being blunt was a bad thing either as it has its uses, but again it can give the impression of you being a bit of a twat. That was the point I was trying to get across.

Calling something I have said "pathetic" is again, in my opinion, another example of you not agreeing with something someone else has said and rather than giving a rational, mature counter you have returned to writing deragatory comments and derisive remarks which is what gave me the impression of you being a somewhat elitist twat in the first place!

Despite your minor jibe at me there about my massive 4 posts (5 now, I can count too :p) which while quite childish is quite true, and the fact that I still think you can come across as a bit of a pillock sometimes, that doesn't detract from the fact that I and obviously many others here hold you in high regard, and your opinions are definitely worth reading based on your experience

I came in here looking at the mod in question originally and have now distracted everyone so for that I apologise!

    Contradictions eh?

The comment wasn't meant to be a big deal - I just agree that you alternate between knowledgeable / helpful, and blunt / sarcastic.

No hard feelings about the RNS-E at all! You typed about 15 paragraphs explaining why you felt my offer was too low. Seemed a bit unnecessarily defensive. I think you've got unrealistic ideas of what your shiny buttons are worth - you don't. Fine! Not a problem, I have bought the stuff elsewhere.

But that is 3 people who haven't been on the site very long who can find your attitude quite poor - but I'm sure we've all just misunderstood you...

But you are perhaps? Nice of you to defend him though.

V6Pete's pretty well summed-up my thoughts, so I'll not rise to the usual forum bait.

Being a long standing member of a forum does not make you the Messiah.

Your knowledge isn't up for debate NHN. Your attitude was the point I was raising. Being knowledgable about a subject doesn't necessarily go hand in hand with being a thoroughly decent chap. Your levels of sarcasm are obvious to all but people like Smudge here.

Forum trolling isn't (or wasn't until last night) one of my pursuits.

I'll continue to contribute helpfully on this forum where I feel able, and taking in the knowledge where I can.

I shall politely step away from this one.

NHN is a great asset - The ones throwing stones should just step back a little and think of the wealth of contributions he has made over his time here. Anyone who finds his sarcasm too pointy for comfort has obviously been wrapped in cotton wool for too long. HTFU you wimps.

I was inspired by the S3 front bumper so i came up with this idea....due to the fact that i am installing a blacked out grill, i am thinkin gof painting the lip gloss black to may the grill....turns out that i wasn't the first to think of this, there is also an A3 in Toronto that has already done this mod...check out the original post....

I like it (the mod that is - not the handbags).

Looks great on white but not so sure it's worth the hassle on my motor. Might give it a go though.
