When I was younger I never even entertained this

Now I'm in need of a Transplant myself, I've carried a donor card for some years now but the donor card has been replaced. You now need to register.

I've only recently pasted 40 years of age and this has hit me hard.

Sorry to ram it down everyones throats but it is something serious to consider doing and not leaving to your nearest and dearest to make that emotional decision should the worst thing in the world ever happen.

Many thanks for reading this.

Do you mind me asking what transplant it is that you need??

I am all for this too as have personal family experience of it and the value it holds is literally lifesaving!!

Hope all goes well for you mate and something happens soon :)

My kidneys are packing up mate. I'm currently at 23% (GFR is the technical term). I am expecting (if thats the right word) to go on the transplant list in Dec.

"It never happens to you" - well in my case it has.

I don't like talking about it really but needs must and the more publicity this get the better for all concerned.

Thanks for your kind words
