Cat D means you just need a standard MOT test and your done CAT C means you have to do a VIC test and you will need to bring the bills for the repairs and parts.

CAT C cars tend to be quite minor issues and a straight forward repair.

The reason I bought a Salvage car is you get more for your money to the car I just bought total cost delivered £4300, Now where would to find a S-Line 1.8TQ on a 04 plate for that money?

You will not, so for someone like me who will keep it for god knows how long it make sense, my old car was a CAT C and because of what I was going to do it was also a good base car.

I was going to say that, If you keeping it for a while then hey why not!
Like you say, its a good base car, this now and the finishing result are going to be 2 complete different cars anyway when you finished with it.

Cant wait to see this one.....chop chop!!

I was going to say the lack of quattro isnt as much of a problem on the B6 as the subframes are interchangeable, but then you managed to find that quattro anyway!

You planning to get it running as a standard car now? then plan the mods for later?

I'm going to get it fixed up while I hunt for the parts plus a small business opportunity which will be tuning based so things may take a little longer than I thought.

Have no idea as I dont even have electric rear windows which will need to be addressed.

The rim got a massive chunk missing on the lip about 8" long so a refurb will need to be done.

Well I may have nailed down a stripped RS4 shell with most of the parts I need for around £1500 which will be a result if I can find a lockup to put it in till the New Year or till I can strip my old B5 A4 but this is proving hard.

If any one knows of a lockup of empty garage I can rent or use let me know.

Oh yes it was a right touch, He only had a bare shell at first which I told him was worth nothing which is true but then he still had a load of the parts which he wanted to get rid plus his mate had a few.

    In the price I get:

RS4 shell with both rear Quarters and wiring loom (need that to do the back windows).
    All doors with glass.
    Boot
    Rear lights
    New RS4 Ally bonnet
    Rear bumper with slight damadge.
    Side skirts
    Front bumper cover
    Some dash parts
    One front wing.

    What will be need after

    One front wing
    Front slam pannel
    Front bumper Iron
    Headlights
    B7 front Rad (may be)

Sounds like this build is going to be similar to the B5 finding a shell!!
