Yes I have the 184 SB manual. I tried both for a day but for quite a number of reasons I preferred the manual front wheel drive. I like it very much. I have absolutely no traction issues. You can tell the reduction in weight over the Quattro. A very well balanced and quite quick and economical car.

Good to hear an opinion from someone who has tried both. Doubt if I will get the opportunity. So I have taken to reading Mk7 Golf GTD reviews as their don't seem to be any reviews for the FWD Audi.

Been to the dealer and got told it will be ready Thursday! Got my number plate, signed paperwork and negotiated 3 MMI leads (lighting, red and micro usb) and rubber mats. All seems very real now :)

Collected today, haven't really had a chance to have a proper play as I had to go straight to work. But the 30 mile commute was fun, the car just feels effortless! Definatly better than my old PD170! I am glad i stuck with the 'sports' suspension as it still is quite firm but not uncomfortable. B&O is also pretty good, again havent had a proper play but will do soon, it has highlighted that some of the tracks on my iPod at the moment are rubbish, most are good though. DAB is also crystal clear!

Been raining all day, hopefully will get a dry day tomorrow to have some more fun.
