Newbie needing help

    Hi guys please take it easy on me i'm new to this ICE stuff lol

    I've got an A3 2002 model tdi and have an Alpine after market head unit in it.

    Problem is the rear speakers and sub aint working, i'm guessing i need some sort of wiring harness can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Also i need a facia plate aswell.

    I've checked on ebay but though id check with you guys before i buy anything.

    Any help please

    Yes you'll need one of 2 wiring adapters. Either RCA input, which can result in popping when you change CD track, or speaker input which will compromise the sound quality as it uses a high to low converter to take the speaker outs on the Alpine down to pre-out (RCA) level, which is in turn then re amplified by the rear/sub amp. You'd be better off wiring the rears directly to the HU.
    Then to get the sub working use the RCA adapter on the sub out RCA's on the Alpine, although you'd be better off installing a proper sub or stealth sub. Dramatic improvement in bass and overall SQ.
    The fascia adapters are available from Audi dealer or pretty much any online ICE specialist like car audio direct.

    You'll also need the aerial adapter as I imagine your radio signal sucks at the moment?
