Got my Rota Grid Drifts through the post this morning! Just needs lowering a bit now!
Droooooool. I reckon they'd suit my ming blue....may follow suit!
Haha! i dont think the photos do it justice......when i pulled it out of the garage i almost fainted! haha
Very nice mate, although maybe space out the rear slightly..?
cheers!!! yeah i had 15mm spacers provided but definitely needs bigger ones on the back!!
Just to check..........what lbs/ft do i need to torque the wheel bolts up to? is it 80lbs/ft?
One word........ Copy cat
God knows, VFT (Very F**king Tight) is my normal torque setting for wheels.
Autodata reckons 120NM
nice! What are the specs? width and offset?
120nm is the setting which if I worked it out right is just under 90lbs/ft?
I went with 18" 5x100 et44 8.5 with 15 mm spacers
i was gonna fet 19" 5x100 et29 9.5 but they were nuts money!! £1400 with no tyres
ekkkkk sorry pat!! ive only ever seen the Yellow S3 in mags and The Red S3 thats on here! oooops.
ah yeah thanks, will do it to 90 then!! thankyou!
Haha, no worries dude.
For some reason I really like yours..... Oh & the colour is really nice....
What are your plans?
Next im gonna re-spray it......not 100% on colour but......Ibis White, Bright Metallic Orange or Maybe a lighter blues, i sprayed my MK4 golf the same colour as my s3 from black just before i sold it and loved doing it!
Then gonna lower it a bit (not over the top though, just so it sits a bit better with the wheels.
Then a milltek system.......
Thats about it really
yeah think pat went for the 9.5J option
I liked it how it was but thats just me ..............
The photos don`t do it justice .... probally
I know what you mean, i did like the RS4 replicas but unfortunately where i live with muddy farm lanes all the time i was constantly cleaning the RS4 wheels and i hate cleaning the twin spoke bit as mud really gets clogged up in there!!
Now ive got these, will be much easier to keep clean and will chuck my standard S3 wheels on when its winter next year!
Looks nice, but seriously, Fullrun tyres?!
lol, LMs are a PITA as i live down a half mile pot holed dirt track
http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a4-a4-...chassis/76202-fullrun-tyres-word-warning.html not so great then?
No, they're garbage.
Why on earth would you spend $$$ on nice wheels then skimp out on the bit that ACTUALLY matters when driving the car?!
Always had Fullrun tyres and never had a problem with them.........I use my car for everyday use, not a race track or anything like that, they do the job perfect!
Well you've clearly never felt what a car is like to drive with some decent rubber on it then.
Believe me, those tyres will be absolutely appauling compared to some Eagle F1's or Conti SC5P's or other similar performance tyres.
I use my car for everyday use too, but i like to know that when i need to stop in a hurry, or come across an unexpected corner on a road i dont know well, that the tyres will grip without compromise.
Nice but needs lowering big time! And some spacers too
They look good suit the car well
A very very very nice looking motor, top marks fella!!
Yeah definitely going to lower it! Has 20mm spacers all round which came in the package, i think the front wheels sit ok the back needs an extra 10mm i reckon!
Thanks for the kind words!
What colour is the car at the mo?
Im not sure what the name is.........judging from your picture of your A3 its the same as yours
yeah, dont know the paint code name lol
do you need it?
Hopefully re-spraying it in the near future!
No i love the Blue / Purple flip, similar to a Golf Gti i once had that was Royal Metallic Blue. I see all the paint names, just wondered if you knew.
...That's 2 words
Great looking set you got there love the Rota Grids
So I got some bigger spacers for the back.......im not on 25mm (15 on the front, thought it was 20mm)
Now i need to get some longer locking bolts..........Anyone know anywhere that sells longer wheel bolts? (links etc)
The wheels are et44 and as i said I've got 25mm spacers on. Had a look around a few shops near me but nowhere had any that are long enough!
Separate names with a comma.
