Looks good, agree it will look even better once the blacks bits are colour coded.

I'm planning the same with my A6 in the next few weeks.

Are the wheels replicas or Originals, and where did you get them? Also where or how do you go about getting the lower plastics painted, mine are grey :( and really could do with matching the car

    TIA

be careful with the replicas mate i had 18's in that style, they are not very strong and imo weak, and they had more tyre on them than the 19's u got.

The 20's i've got now are £256 a wheel and so far i'm well impressed with them they haven't buckled and it's lowered on quite stiff suspension and weighs a ton now which puts more pressure on them, and some times i have treated them harshly and yet still are running true 100% (all 4! yes i've checked them!)

Basicially u get what u pay for so watch out for those potholes and bumps in the road, they will bend them!

I got Orginals on mine and I got 2 wheels buckled bad!

    In some cases!
Audi want £601 inc a corner for my car....and they will bend again
Thinking of going for a set of MTM's or ABT SP1's can't decide yet, waiting for the suspesion to get sorted then I will invest in new wheels

    AJO car looks sweet buddy

There are two different replica designs though mate

Japanese ones.. which are cheap and very weak
Italian ones... which are much better quality and more expensive.

some japanese ones carry the name ITALIA to fool people into thinking they are more expensive ones...

mine are Made in italy and are a very good quality wheel :)

Just saying be careful mate, italian or japanese reps are designed for one perpose only. And it seems genuine audi wheels are just as bad. Then again they're not wheel specialist manufacturers. So probabily a bit hit n miss.

But the 19's do definatly look better than 18's woth the extra dollar.

I don't think it looks better with painted skirts. I think you would be happier with spending money on alu side mirrors like some RS models have. particularly the red color can benefit from those I think.

Ajo, take a look at marmite's RS6 above. just painting everything red will make it look like a clumsy overweight retarded girl. I'm just saying :)
Audi's own S brochures have red cars with brushed metal side mirrors

I think the fully colur coded look is nice - but do like the silver style mirrors.

sure but I do think it looks heavier.
also personally I would never choose an avant. for me it's a crime against the design. I like the rims which help any car it seems. odd how important that is but I'm hoping to be able to put the A8 replica 'turbine look' on if I get an Audi.

19 would be nice but might have to live with 18s

btw Ajo, your car looks quite nice as is, especially in picture 2 which is the angle where the C5 design holds fully to this day

Each to their own, but I think that the colour coded cars look lower, is that the sort of thing your thinking of when you say heavier? not sure what you mean. I like the saloons too, but Avants have much more adaptability though, I like my mountain biking, bikes on the roof (no marks on the roof where the thule footpack sits as i have roof rails), wet gear, bags etc in the back, ideal.

Practical car that IMO looks the business.

:zen: the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing

18's and its running standard suspension, abeit that being the sports option. I did read somewhere that the sports option was standard from 2001 and you had to delete the option to get the softer suspension.
