Got the Boxster over a week ago, thought I'd post a few picts now that I finally had time to clean it!

What can I say but I'm well impressed so far, the chassis is just so good and the noise fantastic! So comfortable too, surprisingly the ride is better and the seats are much more comfortable than in the A3.

Its only a 2.7 but its the new 987 with VarioCam and 245 BHP. To be honest I wasn't expecting too much from the 2.7 engine but its superb. It sounds great just pottering around, but when its over 5k RPM and the VarioCam kicks in its a different beast altogether! Get quite a surge that I wasn't really expecting from the 2.7. The new 3.4 S (with the Cayman S engine) must be an absolute mentalist.

One of the 'must haves' for me was the Porsche sound package plus or Bose. What a waste of time! I've seriously never used the sound system yet as the engine note is just soooo good!

The steering is fantastic too, now I know why there's so much hype about Porsches!

Just waiting on the paperwork to come through for my reg transfer then all will be complete :)

Anyway, I hope you like....

Cheers

Very nice & just in time for the summer. I recently followed the same route, sold my S4 & now have a 3.0 Z4. Like you i decided to get a 2 seater toy while its just me & the Mrs.

I'm only joking fella, lovely car. Thought about one myself a few years ago but I could only afford the older one, the one that comes with the boot full off TRESemme stuff so eventually decided against it. I also mentioned it to the lads at work and suddenly they began to question my sexuality for some reason.
I'd still have one though, apart from the fact that the baby would have to go in the boot or footwell......... If it wasn't for those pesky kids!!!

Nice mate, My mum in her words "is going through a mid life crisis" so I am trying to get her to buy a boxster... going upto porsche this afternoon to have a look:racer:

Yeah, mine is a 987 which came out in 2005. All others before are 986.

The 987 is a huge step forward (then I would say that), my 2.7 is not so far away performance wise from the older 3.2 S - I think there is only 20BHP in it. Its also so much more refined and the interior is so much better too. I like how the front end looks much more 'grown up' too, with it looking a lot like the 997 Carrera.

I never even considered a 986 and never seen myself buying a Boxster until the 987.

Nicest colour combination i have seen, seal grey?? Certainly looks the business, not many around in that colour, definately stands out! Great car fella.:respekt:
