as above and looking for some info on what to look out for regarding common faults etc, bought an s line 2.0 tdi 07 plate and also wondering do they have dual mass flywheels and is it worth getting them re-mapped or do they start to break afterwards

Yes they have dual mass flywheels, remap can sometimes bring out underlying issues with turbos etc

thanks NHN, i was waiting for a welcome, i thought the audi boys had become unfriendly, its a 140, I test drove a petrol version when looking for an a3 which had been remapped and it was rapid but i didn't know the history so walked away from it, but the diesel 140 is pretty quick so happy with that

    Welcome!!!
To start with the 2.0tdi will give you more gain from a straight forward remap than a petrol would have I think the 140s can be taken up to 180bhp or just shy of.

Can't comment on a remap as haven't had mine done. From what I've heard a remap can and will put more strain on the turbo and other components but then again you generally only hear the horror stories

Any pics and what are your plans apart from a remap?
