Hi all,
Just been to look at an audi avant 2007 2.0 loved the car, although lacked in power that was wanting coming from 150-200bhp to 126bhp but have family now so had to grow up some time I suppose.

Is there any common faults that should really be looked at, noticed odd bits broken and not working but garage on already repairing them. Have read that they are prone to alot of carbon build up on the throttle housing? And the clutch biting point seamed really high compared to what I'm used to but have also read that it is quite normal as well

And is there any thing that could just give a little extra omph in the car?

Thanks in advance

Petrol or diesel ?

A couple that you will see all over this forum.
Diesel 2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure

Petrol TFSI Oil pick up pipe

Both of which have the potential to really ruin your year if you're unlucky enough to fall foul!!! Luckily both can be prevented with upgraded parts, the petrol one being cheaper to sort than the diesel

i'm not sure the all the petrol variants are the cheaper fix steve, on my Quattro local guys want shed loads of money to do the swap, cheap on the 2wd variants though.

I can't see why he would want shed loads more for a Quattro as it's basically the same I would've thought. Only thing different would be a prop shaft coming out the back of the box.
