The RS3 will also be available in a diesel form as it will be faster in `real world situations`
What pilot is saying is rather the same as i have always said re: S3 and 3.2. sometimes 1 second here or there is not as important as driveability. The figures quoted are set on a track under ideal conditions but the fact is we don't drive like that. We drive on slippery pot hole ridden congested roads where the 0-60 times are completely irrelevant. most of the time speed is not a factor either. Traveling up the M23 today at a steady 90mph i was overtaken by a steady stream of builders Transits that had knocked off early for Friday....Am i quicker, yes, will i risk it, no. Having lived with a 3ltr Derv for a while i am completely sold on Torque over BHP but that is not to say the 2.0t or s3 are not superb cars. They are just completely different in there ownership + points.
You're new, you'll learn.[/QUOTE]
You having made nearly 3000 posts, and you say thats how most threads of a certain size talking of petrol and diesel end up that way
I can see a pattern here - I'm learning - like you bound to reply
Good grief no, not at all........Sexy rear ends on those S3's dont you think ?
either car tdi / S3 / 3.2 / tfsi are all audi's so they are all great cars simple lol
Sure mate. I'm sure whatever you just said makes sense.... somewhere.
Welcome to ASN (that stands for Audi-sport.net). :icon_thumright:
In the VAG stable the tdi and S3 are skodas, the 3.2 is a Lamborghini..
except in the VAG stable a Lamborghini is a Lamborghini - and the 3.2 is obsolete
(i actually like the 3.2 btw, just felt like joining in the fun)
Too late, I've already lost interest.
Let's talk about fake vcds leads vs genuine ones.
HOLD FIRE!!!! Before we do.......... Darren, do we have your blessing??
So is the Ferrari Daytona but its still the second best car ever made.
fake vcds leads vs genuine ones. S3's vs genuine 3.2's........same thing
Buyers of the 2.0T quattro and 2.0TDi 170 quattro will probably be most influenced by annual mileage.
There's no question that the TDi 170 will be more fuel efficient, just as there's no question that the 2.0T is quieter, faster etc. So, for a low mileage driver like me, the attributes of the TDi 170 quattro aren't fully offset by the fuel cost savings I'd make.
Another big consideration will be the combination of auto gearbox and quattro, which is now standard on the 2.0T quattro (although it was available only as a manual for quite some time) but seems to be an option on the TDi 170.
Interestingly, Audi's website compares the TDi 170 and the 1.8T (160bhp) and in other markets, the 1.8T is available with quattro.
Not enough room to go 'camping' though ;-)
Back on Topic Diesel purchase is sensible at most mileages but becomes increasingly enjoyable the more you do! Similar principle to Beer!
Come on folks what is the verdict???
1 Series diesel.
You know how they say that god gave Cheryl Cole, an otherwise perfect woman, a silly accent just to balance it out a bit. Well, do you think Audi did the same by giving some A3 Quattros TDI engines??
(no offence Paul )
Diesel - better for towing, more economical, and whilst probably ( definitely ? ) not as quick you will still have lots of fun !
Hope you enjoy whatever you decide.
Nice legs, good figure, nice face and hair... shame about the accent Aythree......
Why buy a BMW 1 series eh... 'pile of *****' as they say in Newcastle... ;-0
Is that me or Cheryl??
so PilotAudi was the guy harrassing you in the gym!
Yeh but not a problem. ;-)
i agree bmw's are **** compaired to audi's maybe a good few years ago they were good cars but now just like merc's they are built to a price and the build quality has gone to the dogs so they dont last 5 mins without something braking on them vag cars are the best simples !!
She's all right... a quick nose job and leg extensions and she would be fine. As for that accent, who cares, i didn't plan on listening to anything she said anyway.
Separate names with a comma.
