New member intro

Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself as I've just bought a red S3 from another forum member this weekend.

My previous car was a 205 gti which I'd had for 10 years, it was a great car but it was time to get something that felt a little bit more solidly put together. The S3 certainly fits the bill there and I'm loving it so far along with the big increase in power! I suppose it just lacks a bit of feedback and feel in the steering but I guess the 205 was going to be impossible to beat in that regard.

Just one question - can anyone in the Nottingham/Derby area recommend a good specialist garage for general servicing and maintenance?

Very sad to see it drive off but as you didn't disappear in a cloud of tyre smoke, I have a feeling you'll look after it as much as I have.

Hi Joel, yes I can. I live in Bingham and use C&R Enterprises who are located in Nottingham and a VAG independent. Run by Steve "C" and John "R", with Roy on reception. Have been taking my S3 there for the last 5 years and won't go anywhere else now.

If you contact them, tell them Paul Nutten recommended them - may earn me a cheeky discount or at least a pint!
