been pondering this for a while now and thought sod it go for it , i like the style of the a5 headlights for my a4 but only version i could get was a lhd one ,so googled how to convert to right hand drive ,all you do is convert the blank plate in the projector to straight rather than kicking the light to the right ,(this kick just sends beam upwards to light street signs ect) in uk it kicks to left ,so thought sounds easy lets do it ,ordered the light got an email "you know these are for lhd" yes i do ,came today and removed bulb to check blank plate and low and behold the blank plate is straight no kick so will fit either right or left hand drive , result, anyway got them on and they improve the look no end , the only down side is they could be a bit brighter on the led strip but think its better at night not so bright, anyway enough twaddle here are the pics

Really Nice! That reminds me I still need to sort out the black grille for my car lol..

I saw a set of your headlights on eBay but was put off by the LHD fitment so I opted for the RHD Black DRL Projector Headlights from 2xcite instead.

    Hi Ryan

I'm considering those from Excite, only concern is that some say the light output/beam spread is quite poor, even with brighter bulbs.
how do you find them fella

I did a review on them on my blog!
Ryan-LDN | Something for Someone, Somewhere!: DRL Headlight From 2xcite Review
    And
Ryan-LDN | Something for Someone, Somewhere!: New DRL Headlights!

Light output is okay for me.. but I have Philips Diamond Visions in there to have that HID look.. but I think in the future I may actually upgrade to an actual HID kit.. Perhaps the H7 Xenon HID Headlight Conversion Kit for Can-Bus Systems on Newer... as it is Canbus friendly.. and has a digital ballast.

The LED strip is bright at night and really stands out! During the day you can see them, but not as bright as OEM Audi DRLs..

those are the ones no night shots yet but looking at the beam on the wall compared to standard lights all seems ok ,standard lights light beam is straight and angles upwards to the left as you look at the wall , with these beam is straight with no upward angles at either side so no blinding oncoming motorists ,will get some pics on dark as soon as i can .

    cheers dav

Davsa4, Yeah the lights are okay. I had problems taking pictures of them in the dark too but I think it's just the frequency at which the LED's are emitting that our cameras are struggling to capture. Lovely lights though; if I do say so myself lol

Cheers Macdoon! Have you thought about putting a tinted film on the tail lights? It would be reversible, plus you'll have a choice of tint levels.

Actually that's a damned good idea, those rear led lights with a light smoke tint would work

Done a great job there Matey well done!...I want to do the headlight switch too, however, I am concernend about the brightness feedback from most who have fitted them!....I can't live with anything below standard brightness spec' without the use of HID's....so I am hanging fire until a unit becomes available that is an improvement over standard. Can't fault your effort though....well done!

Realise this is quite an old thread now but I was just looking into this.
Toying with buying these but it says they don't fit cars with factory fitted xenons, anybody know otherwise?

No problem with lens melting from HIDs? I'm considering going for that but couldn't find any positive comments on them working with HIDs. Seller advised me that the headlights are not suitable for use with HIDs.

No Issues here using a hid kit. had mine in for a few years now actually hid produce less heat than standard bulbs only issues are legality regarding head light washers and auto leveling but I have never had any problems regarding the fitment or more importantly Mot issues do it!

Thanks, I guess you just have to use decent quality HID kit and hopefully should have no problems. Where did you get your HIDs from mate?

Yeah, you may be right. Sellers don't want you to use their headlights with HIDs due to legal reasons rather than melting lenses.
