Hi mate. Up to press I'm pleased with it. I have played back some footage and it plays back really well and the quality is very good. I just tend to leave it in situ to be honest. With regards to installing, the cable should be long enough however I must confess I got an expert to fit the wiring for me as I'm garbage and the head lining seemed quite tight and I wasn't confident to do it myself . He actually installed another cig lighter near the fuse box out of sight so I could use the existing car charging cable that comes with the camera, so I didn't need to buy another cable for the hard wire. Its set up to start recording as soon as the ignition is on and stops when ignition is off. As said works a treat day and night, so I would recommend it! Mine is the latest version which is V3 which I researched as being a better option as it has more vents to help keep it cool when in use. Hope this helps...
