Hey looking for some advice,

When changing the wheels this week noticed that front discs and pads will be due soon, and rear pads not far behind,

Whats a nice economic option?
am I best just to go for standard replacements from Audi?
or are them some after market upgrades available for similar money?

and also is it a garage job or could a reasonably competant person achieve this in an afternoon?

I have a thread on this already (see below). Texstar are cheap, cover your wheels in crap. Ferodo are not great, find them a bit wooden but getting a bit better, and cover your wheels in crap. Original Audi recommended by others on my thread. I am investigating improving the braking with pads discs and anything else. I'll post if i decide what to do before you.
