new A4 1.8T Owner

    just thought id introduce myself to this section, was recently over at the 8L a3/s3 section but had to sell up needed a bigger car.

    always fancied an a4 and now i have one :)

    im abit of a sucker for upgrades/mods got the bug for it from my old S3

    just thought id ask you guys/girls what are you all doing ? or is there anything i should look out for on these cars fault wise.

    Oil pickup pipe is prob one of the biggest gremlins of the 1.8t engines

    Nice car looks the same colour as mine yeah oil pickup can kill if its not in the history that its been done might be worth doing it for peace of mind.

    Looks spot on with the votex kit - identical to mine other than it being a saloon! As others have said, make sure you get the oil strainer seen to.

    cheers mate been after one with this kit for a while now.
    this oil pickup pipe issue, is it a diy job or would i have to see a local garage

    Depends how high you rate your mechanical skills mate its a sump off job, would be perfect if you had access to a ramp but its doable on the ground jacked up and on stands

    Probably best to get the garage to double check mate sounds abit ova pain. Any signs I should look out for in the meantime
