    Hi all,

Newbie here, I've posted a thread in the welcome section so I won't bore you all to tears here!

Tomorrow I pick up my brand Ibis A3 1.9tdi special edition (read: poverty spec). The first thing I want to do is change the wheels. I know its a common thread topic but hey, what the hell!

So, my shortlist was as follows....

New RS4 reps (I think they look a bit naff though on the diesels due to the small discs)
RS6 reps (or S-line's as they're now known as)
    BBS CH reps
Sportec mono (or something similar, preferbaly with a smaller price tag)
    BBS 20 spoke reps.....

Anything else you people think I should consider??

Well I picked it up this morning. :rockwoot:

It was absolutely filthy, which is good as I asked them not to touch it. The rear end and various other panels had brake dust (from the train) all over it!! After over 2 hours with a clay bar and some elbow grease it eventuallyl came off. Then on went the polish, then wax blah blah etc etc.

It looks absolutely brilliant, I'm very glad I choose Ibis white now!

I'll get some piccies up of her as soon as I have changed the wheels tomorrow.

Needless to say I'll be taking the scenic route home after work tonight!

    Hey peeps,

Sorry I haven't posted any pics, been busy running it in :rockwoot:

In the end I went for RS6's, I looked at an Ibis S3 last week with 20 spokes and an A3 with new RS4's, the 20 spokes didn't suit the Ibis, and the RS4's looked daft with the little discs.

I know that they feature on pratically every other A3 but in my mind they just look great, especially on Ibis. It needs a lot of lowering though as its a special edition on standard springs, looks ridiculous! I'll get some pics up tonight!
