Thought it was a good idea to take the A5 across to France, and rather than take the ferry the tunnel seemed a better option.

Whilst in the queue to drive into the train I was directed to the slightly narrower upstairs section. Then came the sickening moment as I caught the front passenger alloy on the metal lined kerb. The missus sniggered and we didn't speak again until south of Le Mans.

Oh well I guess there's still the speeding fines to look forward too.

I always book the extra size space.....for exactly that reason :)

I think that's the cars way of saying how dare you put me in the cheap area.

I don't think the guy directing the traffic was an Audi enthusiast!

You mean he was French, explains allot :jester:

Love the fact that if there's any hint of an epic fail in your post title you get a lot more views!

This is tame, 7 posts in 20 minutes is nothing.

Right now i am booking my holiday to France and i will be going on the Eurotunnel too.
I best watch out for that kerb i wouldn't like to see the bill of kerbing my wheel with them being diamond cut and painted in black ! :L

Well, just had my alloys refurbed at reinventing the wheel, Tewksbury. Service was first class and finish was like new.

Could have had your car taken away for speeding,so you got off lightly. Remember next time to book the carriages for Trucks as they have alot more room obviously.
