...because the auxiliary belt shredded.

Had a mad moment and was finding out how fast in each gear the old girl could go Well, I found it's limits .

Happened yesterday afternoon but all fixed now, luckily it's a common drive belt http://www.gatesautocat.com/article/5PK1113

Me too. It's a right peach of an engine

Don't think you would hear much, it's a quiet engine with the standard exhaust.

its a very quiet engine tbh! But thats a ****** about the belts. Good to note that if you start seeing a strong center line appearing on them - change them!
